Nancy L. Hard

President / CEO

Nancy has served as the agency’s President / Chief Executive Officer since September 2001. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southwest Texas State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Texas. Her responsibilities center on agency leadership, work with the Board of Directors, and representation of the agency in the community. She has two daughters and three grandchildren.

Mylinda Swierc

Sr. V.P. Quality & Systems

Mylinda has over 20 years of experience working in the human service field. She has been with the agency since 1994 and as Senior Vice President of Quality and Systems will be supporting agency programs through information systems, evaluation and human resources. She has a Bachelor’s and a Masters degree in Sociology from Southwest Texas State University. Her husband, David, has worked for H-E-B for over 20 years and is currently with their facilities department. They have one son.

Kathy Glascock

V.P. Development & Donor Engagement

Kathy has over 32 years of experience working in the human service field and brings a wealth of experience in development, marketing and building community relationships. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Juvenile Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She joined the agency in September 2014 and is responsible for guiding the implementation of a resource development and community relations program for the agency and overseeing the volunteer program. She has two step-sons and six grandchildren.

Xochitl Cortez-Davis

V.P. Marketing & Communication

Xochitl Cortez Davis is the agency’s first Vice President of Communications and Marketing. Xochitl has over 15 years of success in working in marketing environments at the local, regional and national levels. She was born and raised on the west side of San Antonio. She studied marketing at the University of Texas at San Antonio and joined Family Service in December 2006. She has three daughters, two grandchildren and is married to Michael Davis.

Tiffany Smith


Tiffany Smith has served as Family Service's Controller since October 2014. She holds a BBA and a Master's degree in professional accounting (MPAcc) from Texas A&M International University, and has over 25 years of experience in accounting and managing both nonprofit and for-profit finance departments. She lives with her husband and daughter in Spring Branch, Texas.
