The Juvenile Justice Program involves two projects: Keeping it Real and Family Unity. Both projects partner with Bexar County Juvenile Probation to provide in-home family and individual counseling services to adolescents and their families. Referrals are solely received from Bexar County Juvenile Probation Officers for counseling. While the projects have a lot of similar demographics in relation to the clients served, each project works with a specific unique program from Juvenile Probation and modality. Keeping it Real solely works with adolescents in a specialty court (drug court) using the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach & Assertive Continuing Care model. Family Unity works primarily with adolescents being discharged from a secured treatment facility utilizing the Multidimensional Family Therapy model.
