Family Services Association of San Antonio, Incorporated (“Family
Service”) has created this Privacy Policy in order to demonstrate its firm
commitment to the privacy and security of your personal information. The
following discloses its information gathering and dissemination practices for
this website (the “Site”).
Collected Information
You may provide us with two types of information: personal
information you knowingly and actively choose to disclose that is collected on
an individual basis ("Active Information") and Web site use information
collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse our Web site and use
our services ("Passive Information").
Passive Information
Similar to other Web sites, our Web site utilizes a standard
technology called "cookies" and Web server logs to collect information about how
our Web site is used. Information gathered through cookies and Web server logs
may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed and time spent at our
Web site. This information is collected on an aggregate basis.
Active Information
When you choose to submit information to our site (such as when
you donate or sign up to be included in our mailing lists) or send us an email,
we may collect your name, address and other personal information. If you choose
to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email
messages together with your email address and our responses.
The Site's registration form requires registrants to give us contact information
(like your name and email address) and some demographic information (like age).
Family Service uses contact information from the registration form to send you
information about its events and about other opportunities to get involved or
otherwise support the efforts of Family Service. Your contact information is
also used to contact you when necessary. If you choose to receive mailings
and/or emailings from Family Service, the data that you supply as a subscriber
to the email list will allow us to subsequently forward electronic or printed
newsletters, alerts and special event information to you. If you decide that you
do not wish to subscribe to the email list, then you may "opt-out" by emailing
us at support@family-service.org
or by following the simple instructions sent with each email newsletter or
alert. Additionally, Family Service retains a record of all information provided
by you in your registration to assist in the organization’s planning.
